We prioritize the reuse of materials in our activity by extending their life span. We work daily so that the achievement of effective waste separation results in increased waste recovery. We invest in active Environmental Education to achieve greater internal awareness and understanding of waste management.
We regularly monitor the emissions of gaseous effluents to ensure compliance with the limit values established by legal requirements. As an environmentally responsible producer, we favor the use of products with a reduced content of environmentally harmful substances.
We value the promotion of greater energy efficiency. We have implemented the Energy Consumption Rationalization Plan from 2017 to 2024 and report, every two years, on the execution and progress of this Plan. We plan to implement, in 2023, a photovoltaic park on top of our buildings to make the incident solar energy profitable and to introduce it in our activity.
At ROQ we consider that our most valuable asset is the people that work alongside us. In this sense, we work every day so that employees have and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
Along with the improvements to be implemented in means and processes, it’s necessary to continuously work on a third factor: people. ROQ's Safe Behavior Project seeks to make each employee aware that individual conduct is the factor that most affects their safety. Always keeping in mind, the motto of safety first, we aim to achieve our medium-term goal of zero major accidents.
ROQ's safety culture was marked on April 28, 2021, World Day for Safety at Work.
A day to remind people of the importance of preventing accidents and occupational diseases, worldwide.
A day to raise awareness of the need to build safe and healthy risk-free work environments within organizations.
Ensuring people´s Safety in the workplace is not only desirable, it´s an obligation of all employers.
That is why, at ROQ, we are committed to adopting safe practices, raising awareness to the best behaviors, and implementing, day after day, improvements in means and processes, with a clear goal of achieving an organization of excellence at all levels.
Involvement in the community where we operate is extremely important to ROQ, and we seek to actively contribute to social development and to positively impact the region with our presence.
About 95% of ROQ's employees are residents of the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, or neighboring municipalities, contributing to the high employment rate in the region.
ROQ's commitment to Professional Training has always been one of its hallmarks. Our company annually receives about 40 students from Professional Schools, thus contributing to the training and qualification of young people.
The average age of ROQ's employees is 33 years old, reinforcing our commitment not only to training but also to integrating new talents.

ROQ is committed to fighting corruption, approving its Anti-Corruption Policy at the Board of Directors meeting of January 12, 2021. This Policy intends to prevent corruption and to comply with the legislation in force within all spheres of activity and in all countries in which it operates, according to its spirit and purpose.
We are then committed to adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards acts of fraud, bribery, and influence peddling.
ROQ's Code of Conduct seeks to ensure a healthy work environment, protecting the physical, moral and psychological integrity of its employees, as well as safeguarding the organization's interests.

Conducting ROQ's business in accordance with EU and national data protection legislation is a commitment cemented with the creation of the company's Personal Data Processing Policy. This Policy establishes the principles that must be followed in relation to the processing of individuals' personal data, namely the collection, use, retention, transfer, disclosure, and destruction of such data, as well as its free circulation. The compliance of personal data protection requirements with the legislation in force is thus ensured.
