The ROQprint Eco incorporates ROQ’s latest technological innovations. We at ROQ keep updating our portfolio. So we have the All Over a module to apply glue inside a t-shirt to allow for the All Over printing (AOP) but we came to the conclusion that we had costumers that would prefer a different approach to the subject. – Don’t forget to check the video in the end of the post

Our project department designed our Wing Pallet. It’s a three piece product. The first piece is what we call the base of the wing pallet. We designed the base pallet with all the technology that we already use in our traditional pallets. We also use in these base pallets the honeycomb architecture. For the same reasons less inertia, higher temperature control, higher longevity for the whole setup, including the screen printing machine, etc. Second part and here is probably one of the more juicy parts for the printers. The mask of the wing pallet. The mask, or the wing is where the printer dresses the t-shirt that will be later go by the print all over process.

Now the beautiful thing here is that the ROQ user only needs to have a set of bases. Then he can just change the size of the masks depending on the size of t-shirt you are printing, S, M, L, XL, etc. The wing is also made of aluminium but uses a specific design. Both wings are interconnect inside to help the user load and unload the t-shirt.

The wing pallets are easy to switch and make the whole operation very easy as you will be able to see on the video.

The third part is an elevation column. All the base pallets have two holes on them. When the machine runs, on the loading position there is an elevation column that, coordinated with the cycle of the screen printing machine it will push up 2 wheels. The function of these two wheels is to raise the wing of the wing pallet. With the wing raised it is super easy to load or unload any t-shirt on the right wing.

With this set up it is super easy to produce all over prints (AOP) on your t-shirts. The wing pallet is an easy way for a printer to enlarge its services portfolio meaning a more versatile operation as it is any ROQ screen printing machine.

For the last 20 years THE biggest question has been:”will digital printing make screen printing obsolete?”

Well ROQ finally ends this debate with the ROQ Hybrid.

Why choose between screen or digital when you can have both?

This is the future of garment printing, the ROQ Hybrid. In its essence it is a digital printing machine that works in perfect synchrony with an automatic screen printing machine.

Outputting an impressive 450 pieces per hour you can maintain the productivity of a screen printing machine with digital quality production. Your setup times will be greatly reduced. The ROQ Hybrid can come with 8 or 12 printing heads maintaining the same production speed. The version with 8 print heads uses the CMYK colours. The version with 12 print heads uses CMYK + 2 colours enhancing the available colour gamut.

There are several reasons why ROQ decided to use the Fujifilm Dimatix for print head. This print head represents the future of this technology. As an example, on the Fujifilm Dimatix it is possible to repair the nozzles instead of replacing the whole print head. This feature allows for a greater lifespan of the print heads.

The ROQ Hybrid can come with a maximum printing size of 500 x 700mm or 750 x 900mm.

The ROQ Hybrid adapts to the type of textile you are printing on. The Z axis can be adjusted (up to 20mm) to make take in account the different height of the textile you are printing on.

To partner with the ROQ Hybrid, ROQ also has a new line of digital inks and products as well the ROQ Studio a RIP software powered by Neostampa.

The best way represent some of the advantages is to give an example. If you have a job to make a print on a dark garment (1 or 2 screens, depending on the opacity needed for the base) with four colour process (4 screens), 1 highlight (1 screen), 1 foil (1 screen) and glitter (1 screen). Instead of needing 8 or 9 screens, with the ROQ Hybrid you will need 1 or 2 screens for the base, 1 screen for the foil, and 1 screen for the glitter. Your print will have digital quality and you will be able to present something that was not possible before, the referred quality with screen printing specific technics. All of this done in perfect synchrony with the speed of a screen printing machine and with 3 or 4 screens, less than half the screens (smaller costs and lower setup times)

ROQ will be attending the 9^th edition of FESPA Mexico together with our partner for that country Excelink. The tradeshow will take place from the 18^th up to the 20^th of August in Centro Banamex in Mexico City.

FESPA Mexico is the tradeshow were you can find the latest screen printing technology and of course ROQ had to be present a leader in technology regarding automatic screen printing machines.

We will be presenting a ROQprint YOU with 16 pallets and 12 print heads. We will do a complex job as usual. Accompanying the ROQprint YOU we will also present the ROQpress foil, the ROQflock and the new ROQpress Iron.

The foil and the flock modules are already known patented technologies from ROQ. These have opened new possibilities to printers worldwide as they were able to increase production numbers greatly when doing pieces with flock or foil or both. But that was not the only benefit. The producing costs greatly decreased while maintaining the quality.

So for a few years ROQ printers had this competitive advantage against its competitors. Now ROQ is bringing something new to the table the ROQpress Iron. This new module was presented in ITMA 2015. This module allows for a huge increase in the quality of the final work. We have seen printers using it in several parts of the process. Can be used after the base is given (when there is a base), after the printing is finished, or more than once. What the ROQpress Iron does is it increases greatly the touch of a printed piece. This is more noticeable when the job is done using plastisol inks. With water based inks there are clear improvements in the end quality of the print jobs but it is with plastisol that the ROQpress Iron shines!

If you want to represent 16 years of hard innovation, how do you do it?

ROQ is all about quality boosted by innovation. As we are, every year, incorporating innovations and design evolutions sometimes there is the temptation of looking only for today and tomorrow.

But ROQ was still known as S. Roque in 2000 when we sold our first oval screen printing machine. We made a video about this machine. In terms of its essence it is a ROQ machine, no doubt. It’s still working today with the same flawless precision it had 16 years ago. We made a video about it, find it HERE. It boost quality, durability, precision and by 2000 standards it brought the most important innovation ever for an oval screen printing machines. Due to its new rotation system it was the first oval screen printing machine capable of maintaining registry like a circular automatic screen printing machine.

But this was 16 years ago. How are we building oval screen printing machines today?

Well we are above all being faithful to our principles. Our machines are still built with top quality aiming for durability and precision and as previously stated we inject innovation several times a year.

Today we run two lines of oval screen printing machines, the ROQPrint Oval Pro and the ROQPrint Oval Evolution. They still use the same color pallet as the oval screen printing machine from 2000 but it is very hard to compare the functions. The base, the work they produce is in both cases of great quality but the today machines are a lot more versatile and faster. Easier to work with and with a ton more of functions. We have customers running 4 jobs at the same time in a ROQPrint Oval Evolution and this is as simple as configuring everything from the central console. We have developed several modules to automatically apply foil and flock. Today it is easier and faster to work with any ROQ machines but the quality, the quality is the same.

FESPA is a very special show for us so we worked hard to be at our regular level. We took to FESPA a ROQprint Oval Evolution P20 C10 with the mission of printing an amazing design that involved 2 foil colors, 3 water based ink colors and 2 flock colors. A hard mission knowing of the hot lights in the venue. That would dry our water based inks making the work very ungrateful for our technicians.

That is why we presented the ROQfog! This new accessory is compatible with any automatic screenprinting machine in the world and is a game changer for screenprinting with water based inks. We ran our ROQprint Oval Evolution for hours without the need to clean the screens.

Our engineers took on the challenge of looking in depth into this specific job, the “ALL OVER” print and came up with the ROQ ALL OVER. This new equipment was designed thinking of performance, simplicity, elegance and durability. The ROQ ALL OVER uses a pressurized tank and the glue nebulization is done using only a compressed air system. This trait in conjunctions with the nozzles and the adjustable arms allow that the glue is pulverized evenly with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.

The user has absolute control over the whole operation by using a foot pedal to activate the glue spraying of the ROQ ALL OVER.  The pressurized tank as a 15 liter capacity (4 US gallons) this allows to pulverize 2000 t-shirts in a row. The tank is extremely easy to handle and as a special system for depressurization. Regarding maintenance of the ROQ ALL OVER just needs cleaning once in a while keeping an exceptional performance.
