ROQ ECO P12 XL
- Client: Twin City Tees
- Location: St. Paul, Minnesota
Twin City Tees started in 2005 a few years later we bought a Anatol™ 6/8 auto. Anatol™ as a company and in terms of service is without doubt the worst company I have ever had to deal with. While we were able to purchase a inexpensive “entry level” press, unfortunately the saying holds true that “you get what you pay for.” Soon we had a press with limited capabilities and a company that would not stand behind their products.
When looking for a new press I knew the pneumatic route we had previously gone to save money needed to be re thought. All AC/Servo was at the top of the list. I had a press with no bells or whistles and I knew my next press would have all the best bells and whistles.
What attracted you to ROQ in the first place and what made up your mind to purchase a Green Machine?
Many of the presses found in throughout America are simply copies of each other with small changes. I wanted to see what was out there. While I was somewhat familiar with ScreenPrinting.com presses that lifted the print heads, ROQ added a new twist with innovative attachments and rock solid engineering behind their indexing systems. I really had no hesitation.
Which machine did you decide on and why?
We ended up purchasing the ROQ ECO P12 XL, which is a ten color, twelve station, XL print area. We will be adding a ROQ YOU and a ROQ gas dryer this year.
When you first got your new machine, what was the first thing you fell in love with?
How SOLID and well the press was built. It was easy to see ROQ had been in the business of making screen printing presses for a long time. Everything on the press was well thought out and logical. The ROQ just makes sense. I also am constantly impressed with how quiet the machine is when running.
How has ROQ changed your business or life?
Even though we had an auto before the ROQ, it could not handle complex jobs well. Since adding the ROQ we have been able to take on more complex simulated process jobs and oversized prints with confidence!
Can you quantify your ROQ purchase in terms of money or time it has saved you or gained you?
The press will have paid for itself in under two years. While printing a large run of youth shirts, our top speed was a little over 100 dozen per hour. Our average speeds on the ROQ are well above what we are able to produce on our Anatol™.
If someone asked you about buying a ROQ, what advice would you give them?
I would not hesitate to recommend a ROQ press to anyone. ROQ makes such solid and capable presses that the only real reason someone would need to upgrade their ROQ press would be for more colors. The ROQ press can handle any job you throw at it with ease, from simple spot colors to complex simulated process prints. I would put my ROQ press up against ANY press from ANY company without hesitation.
“The press will have paid for itself in under two years.”
